To further enhance the professional level of volunteer management team and volunteer service, on August 6th, the general knowledge training session for volunteer managers, supervisors, and volunteers of the 9th Asian Winter Games in 2025 was held at Harbin Polytechnic School. Professor Cui Dan from College of International Cooperative Education, serving as a linguistics expert, delivered a lecture at the training session, with over 300 participants from various universities and volunteers.

This training lasted for three days, conducted both online and offline. Focusing on practical operation and applicability, the training integrated general knowledge such as emergency response, common English conversations, national security, and risk prevention, with professional knowledge of individual responsibility and volunteer  practices in venues. In addition to theoretical courses, the training also conducted on-site teaching at the opening and closing ceremony venues, competition venues, and non-competition venues of the Asian Winter Games, allowing volunteers to engage in targeted practical operations and drills to improve their service level.

Professor Cui Dan stated that English is the common language of international communication and plays a vital role in international events such as the Asian Winter Games. Therefore, enhancing English proficiency of volunteers is crucial. As an educator and member of Municipal CPPCC, she feels honored to contribute her professional knowledge to improving the volunteer service level of the Asian Winter Games. Participants in the training expressed that being able to participate in the volunteer service of the Asian Winter Games is an unforgettable and wonderful experience in life. Through the training, they have improved their English language expression and communication skills. They will uphold the volunteer spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual help, and progress" and serve the Asian Winter Games with a positive and high-spirited attitude.
