College of International Cooperative Education Successfully Conducts Preliminary Evaluation for the Undergraduate Education Teaching Accreditation

From July 16th to 18th, College of International Cooperative Education smoothly carried out the preliminary evaluation for the undergraduate education teaching accreditation. The preliminary evaluation expert team was led by Professor Yao Ximing, Director of the International Education Research Center at Shanghai University. The team was comprised of five experts with rich experience in education and teaching management, including Professor Xu Yizhong from the College of Foreign Languages, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; Professor Zhang Xiaotao, Dean of the International College, Harbin Normal University; Professor Zhang Jingnan from College of Intelligent Systems Science and Engineering, Harbin Engineering University; and Associate Professor Ding He from College of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, Harbin Engineering University. All of them had participated in the new round of accreditation evaluation work.

From July 16th to 17th, the expert team conducted their work according to the requirements of the online evaluation for the accreditation. They engaged in online class observations, reviewed the self-evaluation report on the accreditation, educational and teaching management system documents, and examined selected materials such as exam papers, graduation theses, and internship reports. They conducted a thorough and meticulous inspection of the college's self-evaluation and self-improvement work for the accreditation.

On the morning of July 18th, the expert team carried out on-site evaluation. All members of the expert team, college leaders, dean’s assistants, heads of academic organizations, department directors, and key teachers participated in the meeting held in Room 208, Building 26. Ding Xuezhong, Dean of College of International Cooperative Education, introduced the participating experts and the relevant information of the college, and presented a report on talent cultivation work. Yao Ximing, leader of the preliminary evaluation expert team, emphasized that subject construction should be the priority of the college's development, and professional construction is the core work of talent cultivation. Furthermore, the college should expand enrollment channels to ensure a stable source of international students.

After the meeting, the expert team conducted field visits to undergraduate teaching venues and facilities, observed Chinese language classes for the Russian student summer tour, visited the laboratory of the College of Intelligent Systems Science and Engineering and Engineering, and inspected the international student dormitory to see the one-stop student community construction. These visits provided the team with a comprehensive understanding of the college's undergraduate education and teaching status.

In the afternoon of July 18th, a feedback meeting for the preliminary evaluation of teaching materials review and assessment guidance was held. Dean Ding Xuezhong expressed sincere gratitude to the expert team for guiding the college's accreditation evaluation work. During the meeting, the expert team provided specific and sincere suggestions for improvement based on the reviewed materials. These suggestions were of great significance for the college to further identify gaps, address deficiencies, and complete the accreditation evaluation work with high quality.

This preliminary evaluation work was an important part of the college's undergraduate education teaching accreditation, and a comprehensive preparation review of each teaching unit for the accreditation. The college will carefully sort out and absorb the suggestions and opinions from the experts, to make rectifications and fill gaps, solidly prepare for various tasks related to the college's accreditation evaluation work.
