Project Introduction:
TheCollege of International Cooperative Education (CICE) of Harbin Engineering University (HEU) was established in 2003 and has always been committed to collaborating with foreign higher education institutions to provide international education.
This project is a direct train for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies jointly built by the CICE of HEU and world-renowned universities. It is tailored for Chinese students to study in other countries, such as the UK, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, for undergraduate and graduate preparatory courses.
This project aims to help students comprehensively improve their English language proficiency, master basic professional knowledge, and cultivate comprehensive learning abilities and qualities. This project also helps students fully adapt to the teaching and research mode of overseas universities, and smoothly complete the transition to studying abroad by minimizing students’ discomfort and study costs. Therefore, this project provides guarantee for students applying for famous overseas universities.
Project advantages
1. 20 years of international education experience and various resources. CICE also provides students with the only UKVI IELTS test center, TOEFL test center, and CATTI test center in Heilongjiang province;
2. High quality teaching resources and original textbooks. The strong IELTS teaching team of the CICE has rich teachingexperience, and a complete set of international curricula. Besides, the introduction of overseas original textbooks ensures the quality of teaching.
3. One-year preparation for study abroad in China. Students will focus on language proficiency and academic abilities, supplemented by school selection planning and life guidance, to fully prepare them for studying abroad.
4. Multiple countries, universities, and majors. CICE remains good connections with numerous English-speaking universities, and provides many subjects such as engineering, business, and arts, for students to choose from.
5. Both diploma and academic degree can be certified. All the relevant universities are listed on the Foreign Regulatory Information Network of the Ministry of Education. Therefore, all the diplomas and academic degrees can be certified after students return to China.
6. Strict management on campus. CICE offers small class teaching, by fully taking into account the learning situation of each student. The head teacher will be in charge of class management, and regularly give feedback to parents on students’ performance.
7. Priority for job-hunting and household registration. With overseas study background, students can fully enjoy the preferential policies for international students after returning to China and stand out in job hunting.
Curricular arrangement
This project is divided into two stages:
Phase 1
Study location: CICE, Harbin Engineering University.
Learning duration: 1 year
Learning content: IELTS training, general education courses, and some professional basic courses.
Phase 2
Study location: Famous overseas universities in other countries such as the UK, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, etc.
Study duration: 2-4 years for undergraduate studies, 1-2 years for master's studies, and 3-4 years for doctoral studies.
Curriculum: Attend all courses required by overseas schools and complete thesis.
Obtaining Certificate: A bachelor's/master's/ doctoral degree certificate will be issued by a foreign university, and upon returning to China, student can obtain degree certification from the Ministry of Education.

Admission principles
Participate in written entrance exams and interviews organized by the CICE.
Those who meet any of the following conditions are exempt from the written test, but require an interview:
1. English score of 120 points or above (out of 150 points) in college entrance examination.
2. IELTS score of 5.0 or above.
